Travel CNA Job Details

Location : Hettinger, ND 58639 (Southwestern North Dakota)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Medical Surgical (Med / Surg), Critical Access Hospital

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 01 / 05 / 2026 – End : 04 / 06 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (Day / Night); self-scheduling; every other or every third weekend and holiday rotation

Hours : 36 hours per week guaranteed

Estimated Weekly Pay : $950 - $1020 per week

Unit Size : 17 beds (Med / Surg, Telemetry, and Pediatrics)

Orientation : 1 day and 1 night shift on unit

Scrubs : Any color / pattern; closed-toe shoes required

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required for North Dakota healthcare jobs)

BLS (Basic Life Support) for Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) in North Dakota

Minimum 1 year of CNA experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred

Ability to work rotating day / night shifts, including weekends and holidays

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Med / Surg CNA Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for adult and pediatric patients under nursing supervision

Monitor and document vital signs, blood glucose, and intake / output

Assist with patient hygiene, comfort, and safe mobility

Change linens and maintain a clean, safe hospital environment

Float to the Emergency Room for task-based support as needed

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care

Participate in unit orientation and ongoing clinical training
