Operational Preparation Of The Environment Manager

The Operational Preparation of the Environment (OPE) Manager shall perform tasks such as :

• Serve as the primary manager for all OPE requirements for SOCSOUTH. Must possess graduate level experience using Palantir as a CIP / COP and requirements management tool. Establish OPE requirements in accordance with SOFD mission team requirements and SOCSOUTH support plans. Track OPE completion, provide feedback to subordinate elements, and update requirements as needed. Posses a significant level of understanding of the SOUTHCOM AOR.
• Serve under the TOCE staff; take direction from the J3X, the TOCE OIC, and the TOCE Chief for daily duties. Attend the TOCE Sync.
• Coordinate with the SOFD Mission Teams to ensure tasks to MLEs fulfill their operational requirements. Attend the weekly Mission Team Syncs and Operations and Intelligence Briefings.
• Coordinate with the J3 directorate to ensure OPE requirements are nested within SOUTHCOM and SOCSOUTH operational and support plans. Attend the Targeting Working Group and the Campaign Activities Working Group.
• Coordinate with SOUTHCOM and SOCOM for OPE functions and training. Provide input to the OPE Monthly.
• Coordinate with subordinate units within the AOR. Ensure subordinate units answer both Routine and Established OPE requirements.
• Staff items at an operational level as required. Possess capability to write SOPs and policies and submit them through a staff action process. Respond to taskers issued by the TOCE staff as required.
• Travel CONUS and OCONUS as required to assist with training subordinate units on OPE Standard Operating Procedures. Estimated deployed time will be less than XX% of the work yr.
