About the Role :

The Shop Floor Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely production of goods within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and adjusting production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization. The Scheduler collaborates closely with production teams, supply chain personnel, and management to balance workload, minimize downtime, and address any scheduling conflicts or delays. By proactively monitoring production progress and inventory levels, the Scheduler helps to maintain smooth operations and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to meeting delivery commitments, reducing costs, and enhancing overall manufacturing productivity.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in manufacturing, logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in production scheduling or manufacturing operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications : .

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, PlexUX, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with Pull System and Takt Time.
  • Ability to analyze production data and generate actionable insights.
  • Certification in production and inventory management (e.g., APICS CPIM) is a plus.

    • Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and maintain detailed daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
  • Coordinate with production team leads, cell leads, and water spiders to communicate schedules and adjust plans in response to operational changes or unexpected disruptions.
  • Monitor production progress and update schedules accordingly to ensure on-time completion of manufacturing orders.
  • Analyze workflow and resource availability to identify bottlenecks and recommend scheduling improvements.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure materials and components are available to meet production timelines.
  • Generate reports on scheduling performance, production status, and potential risks to inform management decisions.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by providing data and insights related to scheduling efficiency and production throughput.

    The Shop Floor Scheduler utilizes strong analytical skills daily to interpret production data and adjust schedules to optimize workflow. Effective communication skills are essential for coordinating with water spiders and cross-functional teams ensuring alignment on production priorities. Proficiency with scheduling and ERP software enables the Scheduler to efficiently manage complex production plans and respond quickly to changes. Organizational skills help in balancing multiple orders and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Additionally, problem-solving abilities support the identification of bottlenecks and the implementation of process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

    06 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (1 hour lunch) - Monday through Thursday or 8 : 00am to 5pm (1 hour lunch) Monday - Friday.
