Job Summary

ATI's Pageland facility is looking for a Shipping Coordinator. This position will be responsible for the final process of completed orders for shipment of finished goods to customers.

Essential Functions

  • Processing shipping bills, including Certificate of Tests and Bills of Lading, and expediting to shipping crews
  • Scheduling orders for shipment, beginning with the inter-mill department through transportation to final location
  • Generating open order status reports in Excel with occasional responsibility for the Delivery Performance Report
  • Periodically reviewing sheets at test process for release to the next function
  • Manage morning paperwork and file accordingly
  • Manage the process of putting plates on loads by organizing and managing the paperwork process
  • Monitor all truck drivers coming into the facility
  • Manage the shipping tandem BOL's and all shipments
  • Complete, file, and organize all new shipment paperwork
  • Build all swarf and Intermill loads
  • Complete and manage the schedule for shipping.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a working knowledge of shipping operations

    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software Suite with an aptitude to learn and utilize company and job-related systems
  • Effective oral and written communication skills to interact with internal and external customers at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently with high motivation and organizational skills
