About the Opportunity :

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our Newburyport Maintenance team. You will inspect different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required.

Location : Newburyport, MA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on various CNC's : including but not limited to mill turn applications, and press / stamping machines.
  • Handle basic repairs, light plumbing, and maintenance.
  • Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  • Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Ability to use tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety, and security.

Required Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Maintenance Technician role, or related field.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR / EAR regulations.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and repair.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to operate maintenance shop equipment.
  • Adaptable to changing business needs and skilled in problem-solving.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently lift, stand, walk, bend, and other physical activities necessary to perform essential job functions.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Compensation & Benefits :

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $60,000-$70,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, and geographic location.
