This exhilarating role involves overseeing a select range of vital support services for DHHS, including telecommunications, motor pool, physical security, facility and grounds, mail processing, equipment relocation, and warehouse storage.

You'll also play a crucial part in preparing appropriation requests and budget reports, diving into expenditure and revenue analysis, projecting future needs, and assessing agency workload. Responsibilities

As a valued member of our team you will :

  • Manages accounting or budget activities and provides fiscal information.
  • Monitors agency or program budget including revenues, expenditures and budget projection, etc.
  • Oversees accuracy of contract tracking system; monitor and improve as needed.
  • Develops and / or interprets fiscal statements and reports.
  • Generates and monitors work orders, service contracts, etc.
  • Coordinates and / or manages support services such as : telecommunications, motor pool, physical security, facility and grounds, mail processing, equipment relocation, warehouse storage, etc.

Qualifications

The model candidate will have :

  • Financial markets, models, and banking
  • Principles, theories, and practices of budget management
  • Principles, theories, and practices of business administration including accounting, human and material resource management in organizations, sales and marketing, economics, and office information and organizing systems
  • Use automated software applications
  • Procurement and / or administration of contracts, grants, loans, or similar agreements
  • Weigh the relative costs and benefits of a potential action
  • Deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
  • Prepare financial reports and documentation
  • Make a decision or solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
  • Principles, theories, and practices of public relations
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, policies and procedures, etc.
  • Research methods, techniques, and / or sources of information
  • Use computer word processing software
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing
  • Bookkeeping procedures
  • Document accounts receivables and / or payables
  • Fiscal / financial management
  • Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
