Our client, a respected firm in the legal services industry , is seeking a highly organized and proactive Trusts and Estates Legal Assistant to support multiple attorneys in the Trusts and Estates Department . This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated legal professional with a strong background in estate planning support , legal administration , and client services .
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, proofread, and format a wide range of legal documents, including correspondence, memoranda, and estate planning materials with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain both electronic and physical case files; perform document scanning, mail handling, and organization of estate planning binders .
- Coordinate meeting schedules and prepare materials for attorney and client meetings.
- Process attorney time entries, review and edit invoices using legal billing software .
- Interact professionally with clients, financial advisors, accountants, and internal team members, ensuring high-quality client service .
- Draft and finalize estate planning letters summarizing executed documents and recommending steps for asset transfers related to trust funding strategies , including investment accounts, real estate, insurance, and retirement assets
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in legal or financial administration .2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant , preferably in Trusts and Estates law .Strong understanding of estate planning , trust administration , and fiduciary responsibilities .Ability to communicate effectively, with attention to detail and a client-focused approach.Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in all fiduciary matters.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook ; familiarity with Visio and PowerPoint a plus.Experience with Document Management Systems and legal billing platforms preferred.Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of professionals and clients.Are you an organized, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented professional passionate about estate planning and legal client support ?
