Seneca - Underwriting Training Program

What you will do for C&F:

• Seneca’s Underwriting Training program is fast paced learning opportunity that will provide a valuable foundation for a career in Commercial Lines insurance.
• Our in-house training consists of 6-9 months of courses, self-study and on-the-job training in a variety of Commercial Lines coverages to develop underwriting knowledge.
• You will learn technical underwriting skills, build core competencies, and gain broad exposure to Seneca’s operations.
• Upon successful completion of the training program, you will be assigned an underwriting territory and position, and you will have continued learning and career progression opportunities.
• Promotions and salary increases are based on technical development, continued education and underwriting aptitude.
• The complexity of the job demands several years of experience to achieve proficiency.

What you will bring to C&F:

• College graduate with a 3.0 GPA minimum
• College degree in many majors will be considered
• Risk Management major a plus but not required
• Recent college graduates who have 6 months to 1 year of related experience
• Ability to learn through self-study
• Strong work ethic, verbal & written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $53,400.00 to a maximum of $88,100.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
