Opportunity Highlights
- Join a 155-bed community-based reaching hospital in Southwest Georgia with a thriving physician group
An ideal candidate will be either an experienced physician or a recent graduate interested in pursuing a non-ACGME accredited academic fellowship, with availability to start in 2025 and a strong desire to work in medical education or academic leadership.
This opportunity is excellent preparation for candidates whose professional goals include teaching family medicine or gaining valuable GME experience needed to pursue a leadership role in a primary care organization
Guaranteed salary is competitive and commensurate with experience; negotiable depending on GME experience or additional training such as a fellowship.
Schedule : Monday through Friday; 8am - 5pm; on average 2 clinic days, 1 precepting day, and dedicated administration time for GME education per week
Call : Some call required (mainly during work hours or scheduled home call after hours to cover residents); no overnight call required unless desire to participate in optional OB or inpatient adult medicine coverage
Procedures : LARC insertion and removal, Pap smears, Joint injections (with and without ultrasound), Skin procedures, Incision and drainage (I&D), Toenail removals, and Sterile vaginal exam / cervical checks
Patient Volume : an average of 10-12 patients per half day in clinic
