The cardiac surgery program at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia is seeking an experienced FT cardiac surgery APP! This program is rewarding, bringing advanced cardiac surgery services to an underserved population. This program highly values their APP's. Surgical call is very manageable - 1 weekend every 6th week

In this role, the practitioner will first assist in cardiac surgery operations and assist in the management and implementation of the health care plan for Cardiac Surgical Service as defined by surgical attending staff. This role is a hybrid with both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities.

Responsibilities (as approved by the Medical Staff Board) :

First assist in cardiac surgery procedures

Responsible for inpatient care related to pre and postoperative heart surgery and patients in the CCU and Telemetry unit as defined by surgical attending.

Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic bedside procedures

Assure clear and concise transfer of clinical information between nurses, clinical staff and physicians

Assist in data collecting of information related to any research trials within the department of Cardiothoracic

Maintaining communication with other clinical service

If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately :

• NCCPA certification or National Certification as Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Required
• 3-5 years' experience required, in CCU / Cardiac Surgery setting
• First assistant experience in cardiac surgery required with EVH competence
• Pennsylvania State license for physician assistant or CRNA
• Masters Degree
• National Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• BLS certification
