You are :
As a Solutions Architect, you will evaluate the client’s business needs and determine how IT can support those needs by leveraging software, hardware, infrastructure.
The work :
Aligning IT strategy with business goals is paramount, with this position helping to determine, develop, and improve technical solutions in support of the client’s business goals.
The Solutions Architect bridges communication between IT and business operations to ensure everyone is aligned in developing and implementing technical solutions for business problems. The process requires regular feedback, adjustments, and problem‑solving in order to properly design and implement potential solutions.
Assess current and legacy client IT systems and define a target, cloud‑ready enterprise architecture across applications, data, integration, and security layers; produce roadmaps and disposition diagrams.
Design scalable, highly available, and resilient solutions using modern patterns (microservices, event‑driven architectures, APIs, serverless, and containers such as Kubernetes / OpenShift).
Develop and maintain architecture artifacts and models (e.g., DODAF operational and system views), interface control documents, and integration patterns.
Coordinate with partners and technical support teams to author interface control documents and establish system‑to‑system connections.
Determine architecture requirements and priorities with stakeholders; propose and compare alternative solutions.
Evaluate alternatives to identify the most effective, fit‑for‑purpose technical solution to current business problems.
Stay current on evolving cloud capabilities and business needs; recommend options that improve cost efficiency and functionality to support informed, collaborative decisions.
Enable built‑in monitoring and CI / CD to automate the application lifecycle (build, test, deploy, maintain) and drive continuous improvement across the Agile DevSecOps process from assessment through operations.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a diverse set of staff, stakeholders, and customers; communicate complex designs clearly and professionally.
Here’s what you need :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience with cloud‑native tools and architectural design patterns.
Proven ability to develop complex IT system architecture diagrams with technical and interface details.
Experience creating architecture artifacts—such as Operational Views (OVs) and System Views (SVs) for complex system integrations using the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS).
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Extensive cloud experience delivering solutions end‑to‑end : architecting, designing, developing, leading, and implementing cloud infrastructure and application platform technologies across large‑scale, multi‑team enterprise programs.
Experience across core infrastructure, application development, data and analytics, and low‑code / no‑code platforms.
Bonus points if you have :
Previous Federal Government experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to foster collaborative work in dynamic team environment.
Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization.
Eligibility requirements :
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Compensation
Paid by state / region in the United States : $108,400—$203,400 USD. Compensation varies by location, role, skill level, and experience.
