Patient Scheduling And Insurance Authorization Specialist

Responsible for patient scheduling, pre-registration, and insurance authorization for the outpatient departments. Essential functions include responding to calls, scheduling appointments, and managing patient information. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and hospital scheduling software. Promotes a professional, courteous environment and participates in safety initiatives. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience in customer service and telephone operations. Preferred experience includes secretarial training and familiarity with medical billing software.
