Intern - Transaction Advisory Services
BDO is a place for energetic self-starters who can think and act like entrepreneurs. As an Intern in our Transaction Advisory Services practice, you will begin to utilize your educational background as well as your organizational skills as you serve the firm's dynamic client base. You will assist in planning and executing accounting due diligence engagements, working side-by-side with more experienced team members who can provide you with direction, coaching and learning opportunities. This opportunity will allow you to gain a unique hands-on perspective on our firm's practices and people, as well as beginning to forge the critical relationships that will help maximize your chance for success in your career.
Job Duties :
- Utilizes Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets to quantify, manipulate data, and build models
- Prepares data book and other documents in BDO specific tools and templates, reconciles target or client's business financial statements, generates financial tables and prepares analyses for due diligence reports
- Analyzes historical earnings to identify unusual trends which may require inquiry
- Organizes large amounts of data and tracks data provided against information request lists
- Participates in internal team meetings and client Q&A sessions
- Provides support for more senior team members during telephonic question & answer sessions with C-level personnel
- Assists in managing information flow between BDO and the target or client
- Assists more senior team members in researching and developing proposal documents and may be involved in the pursuit of acquiring new clients
- Other duties as required
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Education :
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics, requiredPursuing an MBA / Master's in Accountancy, preferredExperience :
Leadership experience, preferredLicense / Certifications :
CPA certification or actively pursuing educational requirements to become a CPA, preferredSoftware :
Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, requiredOther Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
