Overview
Power Trip Rentals is seeking a dependable, hands-on Truck / Shop Mechanic to join our dedicated team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of trucks and heavy equipment to ensure safety, performance, and reliability. Work will take place both in our shop and occasionally in the field.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and perform emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance on company trucks and equipment
- Conduct 90-day and annual DOT inspections
- Use company-provided laptop and diagnostic software to troubleshoot and service medium- and heavy-duty trucks
- Replace, repair, and install mechanical components, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Ensure all company trucks and equipment are maintained to meet safety and cosmetic standards
- Clean and detail vehicles; apply and maintain decals
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean workspace
- Track and maintain inventory of tools and shop supplies
- Read and interpret manuals, work orders, and schematics
- Document all services and repairs through service work orders
- Follow OSHA and company safety protocols
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Team
High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in truck or heavy equipment maintenance and repairValid driver's license with a clean driving recordMust provide your own tools (as specified)Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systemsAbility to communicate effectively and work independentlyAble to lift 50 lbs, kneel, bend, and work in varying weather conditionsComfortable with documentation and basic reportingWhat We Offer
