About the Role : The CrowdStrike TechOps Data Analytics organization is looking for an Engineering Manager to support our data engineering and cost optimization initiatives. Their team will specialize in solving elusive problems through data-driven approaches while maximizing operational efficiency and resource utilization. You'll oversee a remote team of data engineer who directly support CrowdStrike leadership with custom and off-the-shelf data solutions, while ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness of our cloud and data center infrastructure. What You'll Do :

  • Provide strategic leadership for a team of data engineers, focusing on hands-off management that empowers team autonomy while ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives across data infrastructure, identifying opportunities for efficiency while maintaining high performance standards
  • Oversee the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytics solutions that support CrowdStrike's critical business functions
  • Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and cost forecasting for data engineering projects and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to align data strategy with business objectives and cost management priorities
  • Develop and implement KPIs and metrics to measure team performance, data infrastructure efficiency, and cost optimization success
  • Mentor and grow engineering talent, focusing on career development and building a high-performing, innovative team culture What You'll Need :
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles with at least 3+ years in management positions
  • Strong understanding of data pipeline architectures, cloud infrastructure, and cost optimization strategies
  • Experience managing budgets and optimizing costs in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI)
  • Background in data technologies including Apache Airflow, Airbyte, Apache Superset, DBT, and SQL
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into business value and ROI
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams with a hands-off management approach Bonus Points :
  • Experience in cybersecurity industry or working with security-related data
  • MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative field
  • Previous success implementing significant cost-saving initiatives in data infrastructure
  • Knowledge of machine learning operations and associated infrastructure requirements
