The client is seeking a Lead Engineer to build and deploy multi-agent AI systems, specifically for a high-volume document processing application aimed at improving efficiency for their consulting team in the tax ecosystem.

The ideal candidate should possess strong Python skills, hands-on experience with LLMs (preferably in Azure), expertise in AI frameworks (LangChain, Autogen, etc.), and a solid understanding of CI / CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).

The role involves 50% hands-on coding and code reviews, and 50% collaboration with business and development teams, acting as a solution architect and tech lead. Communication skills, both technical and non-technical, are essential. The candidate will act as a gatekeeper, ensuring the quality of the code developed by the vendor team (onshore / offshore) using code review tools like Cursor and GitHub Copilot.

Building and deploying multi-agent AI systems (REG based).

Leading a team of engineers from another vendor.

Hands-on coding (50%) and code reviews.

Solution architecture, design and dev lead (50%)

Collaborating with business and development teams.

Ensuring code quality and adherence to standards.

Risk mitigation and timely communication.

Required Skills : Strong Python skills

Hands-on experience with LLMs (Azure OpenAI preferred).

Knowledge of vector databases (Azure AI Search preferred).

Prompt engineering and fine-tuning abilities.

Understanding of CI / CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).

Expertise in AI frameworks (LangChain, Autogen, etc.).

Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical).

Familiarity with code review tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot).

Desired Experience :

Experience building and deploying enterprise-scale AI solutions.

Experience with financial or tax data is a plus.

Experience working with enterprise systems (even if not AI-focused).

The pay range for this position is $138.00 - $138.00 / hr.
