Facility :

This is a Level 3 pediatric facility with 5 beds in the department. The facility is a trauma level 0 hospital that maintains high standards of care and requires board certification (or at minimum board eligibility) for its physicians. The facility has a well-established pediatric department with a focus on providing comprehensive care to the community.

Opportunity : Pediatrician

This is a locum tenens position to provide coverage for a scheduled vacation period. The assignment dates include August 15-17, with potential for ongoing work starting from 8 / 2 / 2025. The facility sees approximately 2 patient encounters per shift.

Job Details :

• Provide pediatric patient care in a 5-bed department
• Average of 2 patients per shift
• Preferred skills include ventilation management for newborns
• Experience with intubation for newborns is preferred
• Ability to perform various procedures including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis is preferred
• X-ray and EKG interpretation skills are beneficial
• Experience with suturing minor lacerations and circumcision procedures is preferred
• Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Fellowship experience (2 years) is required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 days
