Summary

As an emergency response medical professional, you will provide immediate care to patients facing trauma, sudden illnesses, and other critical situations. You will deliver advanced life support care from the moment of contact until the patient is handed over to a medical facility.

Key Responsibilities :

• Represent the ambulance service at public events and provide standby services as needed.
• Accurately document patient assessments and treatments using charting software.
• Provide care to patients in various crises including medical, psychiatric, and traumatic situations.
• Work as part of a two-member ambulance crew responding to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Operate advanced medical equipment such as defibrillators and electrocardiograms.
• Assess the severity of injuries or illnesses to prioritize necessary medical actions.
• Drive and operate emergency vehicles safely to designated locations.
• Administer medications under physician direction through injections or intravenous methods.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding treatment protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of the ambulance after patient transport, especially following infectious disease exposure.

Physical Demands :

Must be capable of lifting over 50 lbs, pushing / pulling up to 140 lbs, and carrying 80 lbs short distances. Frequent standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching overhead are required.
