Shift : 12-hour nights (19 : 00 – 07 : 30), 3 shifts / week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,470 - $2,540 per week

Patient Population : Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults

Unit : CVPICU (Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

Unit Size : 20 beds, average census of 13

PICU RN Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent PICU or CVPICU experience (30-bed+ unit preferred)

Active Ohio or Compact RN license (required at submission)

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS (American Heart Association)

Proficient in ventilator management, arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, pediatric cardiac care

Ability to float to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical-surgical units

2 supervisory references (one from manager / supervisor)

No permanent employment at this facility in past 2 years

Travel nurses only – no locals within 60 miles

PICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions

Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced therapies (ECMO, VADs, CRRT; not responsible for running ECMO / CRRT circuits)

Assist with procedures : intubation, central line management, post-cardiac surgery care

Interpret arterial blood gases, manage ventilators, administer IV vasopressors

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services)

Float to other critical care units as needed, adapting to various patient populations

Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection control protocols
