Position Details :
Full-Time; Hours varyApproximately 13-14 twelve-hour shifts monthly which include a combination of days, nights, and weekend shifts.An average of 4 to 5 nights per month, as full-time night Intensivists do majority of nights.Well-established Critical Care Division presently consists of 11 full-time Critical Care Intensivists and 8 full-time Critical Care Physician Assistants.Provide in-house coverage for ICU patientsEnjoy the reward of teaching and mentoring medical students and residentsCritical Care procedural skills including central line insertion with ultrasound guidance, arterial catheter insertion, IO insertion, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, small and large bore chest tubes, intubation, and bedside ultrasoundPatient case mix includes both routine / moderate acuity and complex / high acuity patients.Qualifications :
Critical Care Fellowship RequiredBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine requiredBE / BC in Pulmonology preferred but not requiredMaryland Medical License without restrictionsCurrent CDS and DEA licenseBLS and ACLS certificationMust work well as part of a teamInterested in teaching medical students and residentsBenefits :
