Job descriptionAssist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures in accordance with departmental protocols. Prepare and position patients; perform pre-, intra-, and post-procedure assessments. Operate and maintain imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, and recording systems during procedures. Monitor ECG, hemodynamic data, and patient responses; recognize and communicate abnormal findings. Administer contrast media and medications under physician supervision; document all actions accurately. Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control standards throughout procedures. Prepare, clean, and restock procedure rooms and instruments after each case. Participate in on-call rotation, including two days per week and every third weekend. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other technologists to ensure safe, efficient patient care. Adhere to hospital, departmental, and regulatory policies regarding patient confidentiality and safety. High school diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Invasive Technology or Radiologic Technology program. BLS certification required. Active Iowa state license or eligibility required prior to onboarding. Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience in a hospital or interventional setting preferred. Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring systems and imaging equipment. Strong understanding of coronary and peripheral procedures and radiation safety principles. Ability to work 8-hour day shifts (0700–1530) with variable start times and required call coverage.
