Job Summary

RAH is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNA), Certified Medication Technicians (CMT), and Personal Care Assistants to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform essential nurse aide duties that support the physical and emotional needs of patients in their homes. You will work under the supervision of a Supervising Nurse and follow RAH policies and the Maryland Nurse Practice Act.

Essential Job Functions

Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, hygiene, toileting, and feeding.

Assist with transferring, ambulation, and range of motion exercises.

Take and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.

Observe and report changes in the patient's physical or psychological condition.

Follow care plans and directions provided by supervising nurses.

Report any safety hazards or unusual incidents to the Supervising Nurse and the office.

Perform specialized care as trained and allowed under RAH policy, including colostomy care, catheter care, medication reminders, and post-mortem care.

Maintain a weight-lifting limit of up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience Requirements

Graduate of a state-approved Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) course.

Minimum of six months of experience as a CNA, GNA, CMT, or Personal Care Assistant within the past two years.

Current Maryland CNA certification (GNA and / or CMT preferred).

Passing score on RAH's Nurse Aide Competency Exam.

Current CPR certification.

Meets all health and immunization requirements, including annual tuberculosis testing.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as required for the position.

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.

Working Conditions

Provides care primarily in client homes.

Travel required between client locations.

Shift times and days vary; flexible scheduling available.
