The Pharmacy Logistics Specialist position, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department not requiring the professional judgment of the pharmacist. Responsibilities will include maintaining patient records, optimizing delivery routes, monitoring shipments for timely delivery, and collaborating with third-party shipping services. The role will also involve notifying relevant staff about delivery delays, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring effective communication among pharmacy personnel.
Associates working 2nd shift will be eligible for a shift differential in pay.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred. One (1) year of experience working in a high-volume pharmacy or logistics coordination or inventory management required. Experience working with delivery exceptions and driver route creations preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills and an aptitude for working with other health care professionals. Essential Accountabilities
Maintain patient records. Create driver routes to maximize deliveries. Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective shipping methods. Coordinate and collaborate with third-party delivery services and intervene with exceptions to minimize product loss. Notify patient and provider offices of delivery delays. Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure product stability in the event of delivery delays. Coordinate product replacement. Notify Logistics & Fulfillment Supervisor and Pharmacist of delivery related issues. Maintain effective communication with driver and pharmacy team. Troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues. Assist with Pharmacy tasks as needed for packaging and shipping under the supervision of a pharmacist. Function in strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines with deviation approved by the supervising pharmacist.
Hiring Compensation : $19 hourly. Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location, and experience. In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
