POSITION SUMMARY :
In this position the Accounting / Finance Intern will shadow and learn finance in the sign industry. They will support finance operations as needed. They will also learn about the business aspect of the sign industry.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Get an overall view of the finance department and where / how finance work fits into the flow of the company
- Get acquainted with and use the software's we use daily.
- Observe different aspects of the company to understand how finance and other business aspects blend to make the company work.
- Help with finance tasks such as journal entry, cash reports, data entry and other duties not described.
- Assisting with specific projects to include but not limited to annual 1099 preparation, sales tax audits, prepare documentation to support reviewed financial statements and income tax returns, and audits.

Current college student in a relevant major.Any experience supporting finance or accounting departments is a plusGeneral knowledge of excel and other accounting softwareSome understanding of finance and accountingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to handle pressure situationsProficient in word and excel. Comfortable with computers and technologyWork in fast-paced environmentMust be able to work in team environmentDetail oriented and very organized.WORK ENVIRONMENT :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle controls (keyboard, phone); and talk or hear. Occasional standing, walking, stooping is required. Occasional lifting and / or moving up to 10 pounds.
