APS-3 : Supply Tech - Property Control Procurement
KBR maintains and manages Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site to include all logistics and maintenance operations. The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army's power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets are configured and maintained at optimal readiness. KBR also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs, IAW individual scope of work contract requirements.
The Supply Tech works in the Property Control Office (PCO) with a team of approximately 20 people. Primary tasks involve procurement of material through the US Army supply system using GCSS-Army (SAP based system). The position interacts with the requesting sections and with the US Army (KBR's customer). The Supply Tech also uses PIEE (US Army system), eQuip, and Costpoint.
Roles and responsibilities include :
- Sourcing and acquiring equipment and supplies through military and commercial channels
- Managing the supply budget, overseeing small purchases, and monitoring equipment funding requirements.
- Ensuring all authorized equipment is on hands, on order, or on a redistribution order
- Maintaining accountabilities for all organizational and installation property. This involves preparing and updating supply documents and records, using an automated supply system like the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army), Costpoint, PIEE, basic office automation systems / hardware, MICROSOFT Office, SharePoint / Shared file systems,
- Tracking equipment, ensuring all items are on hand or accounted for, and maintain them for operational use.
- Managing property throughout its entire life cycle, including research for new equipment, acquisition, and disposal of excess or unserviceable items.
- Locating and acquiring standard and non-standard equipment.
- Importing data from spreadsheets or other formats, exporting data to various formats, key data directly and / or create standard and custom reports, compiles and records production data.
- Using the PIEE system to manage government-furnished property.
Basic qualifications include :
Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)Must obtain and maintain local base access.Must possess a valid State Driver's License.Must be capable of getting a Secret security clearance.2-years' experience related in fields involving production, logistics, supply, or record keeping using automated systems.High School diploma, college completion viewed favorably.Working knowledge of GCSS-Army, PIEE and Costpoint a plus.Working knowledge of Army unit structure i.e. MTOEs, authorizations, requirements, and equipment readiness.Working knowledge using lift equipment a plus.Physical requirements include :
Must be able to stand and walk - between 2 to 4 hours per day.Must be able to Lift - up to 35 lbs. periodically.Must be able to squat, knell, bend, reach and climb periodically.Must be able to work outside and inside in non-climate-controlled environments.Preferred qualifications include :
