Office Services Clerk
The Office Services Clerk is responsible for supporting day-to-day office operations by managing mailroom functions, maintaining office supply levels, and assisting with general administrative support activities. This role ensures efficient workflow throughout the office by providing reliable support in areas such as document handling, facilities coordination, and event preparation. The position plays a key role in maintaining an organized, well-functioning work environment across the regional office.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform daily mailroom operations, including sorting, distributing, and posting incoming and outgoing mail.
- Deliver certified and express mail to the post office when required.
- Operate office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
- Monitor and maintain office supply inventories, restock as needed, and coordinate reordering.
- Place catering orders for meetings and office events, including food, beverages, and refreshments.
- Set up and clean up meeting rooms to ensure readiness for events and conferences.
- Scan and forward packing slips and invoices to the Chief of Office Operations.
- Provide general facilities and administrative support as needed to maintain daily operational efficiency.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 12 years of experience in office services, mailroom operations, or general administrative support preferred.Experience in a professional services or corporate office environment is advantageous.Special Requirements :
Ability to lift and move office supplies or packages (typically up to 25 lbs.).Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work onsite during standard office hours.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively.Proficiency with standard office equipment (copiers, scanners, fax machines).Familiarity with basic computer applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel).Excellent communication and teamwork skills.High attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents and mail.Additional Desired Characteristics :
