Chain Reaction Lab Technician for Bench-scale R&D (long term contract)

Our client has a lab that is located in Argonne National Laboratory is looking for a hands-on Lab Technician in the western Chicago suburb of Lemont, IL. Our client is working a build a clean, secure supply of rare earth elements by harvesting the materials from coal fly ash and other industrial wastes. The results of these experiments will be used to validate the extraction technology at larger scales, reduce costs and waste generation, and enable progress toward pilot deployment.

Work location : Lemont, IL

Project Length = 6 Months (+). Project length can be extended.

Work days : Monday – Friday

You must have an unexpired REAL-ID or USA passport to enter the work site.

Desired Background & Skills :

• Experience with wet chemistry, solvent extraction, or inorganic separations.
• Experience in an R&D or pilot lab environment.
• Interest in sustainability, green chemistry, or circular economy systems.
