Network Operations Center (NOC) Administrator

Work Schedule : 100% onsite.
Clearance : Top Secret / SCI willing to obtain CI Poly
Certification : Security+ CE

This position is based in Arlington, VA 100% on-site, and supports second shift 1200-2000 (12pm-8pm).

Primary Responsibilities

Perform operational reviews at the start of every shift ensuring that services are running as expected. Work to resolve all known system anomalies and perform root cause analysis as required. Generate process improvements as needed to minimize future occurrences of recurring issues. As new processes are generated, they should be documented with a plan to mentor junior members of the team on the latest processes and procedures.

Work both independently as well as in coordination with other IT disciplines to ensure smooth operations of the customers multi-user environment. Includes but not limited to Implementation of STIG requirements, Engineering Implementation Plans (EIPs), Industry best practices, network security measures in accordance with customer and DOD standards.

Take ownership of customer issues and communicate on a regular basis the status of their tickets and issues. Issue resolution is to include properly documenting issues along with associated resolution measures.

Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware.

Review user requests for upgrades or additions to the network to assess impact on network performance and provide advice and guidance on the most practical technical approach to meeting user requirements.

Provide 247 call-in support in the event of systems outages, along with providing regular progress updates on resolution times.

Basic Qualifications

BS in computer science or IT and 4+ years of experience. Addl experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Candidate must possess an active DOD TS / SCI level security clearance, and be eligible to obtain and maintain a CI Poly.

Hands-on experience troubleshooting and fault isolation of IT business systems.

Have experience in at least 5 of the following areas :

Experience in configuring Cisco switches and routers.

Dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)

TCPDUMP / WireShark

Troubleshooting of S2S / DMVPN / IPSEC tunnels connection.

LAN and WAN Network troubleshooting.

Basic Firewall troubleshooting and configuration.

Basic ISE / TACACS troubleshooting and configuration.

AWS Cloud service.

VLAN configurations and VLAN Trunking.

Spanning Tree Protocol.

802.1x.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with DISA and DISAs support to mission partners.

TS / SCI w / CI Poly Preferred.
