Position Summary : The Cage Associate is responsible for maintaining an accurate, organized, and secure inventory of parts within the cage area while adhering to all safety protocols. This role involves inventory management using advanced systems, safe operation of stand-up forklifts, and collaboration with team members to support operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Essential Functions :

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for parts and materials in the cage area.
• Ensure the proper handling, storage, and safekeeping of all parts to maintain their condition and usability.
• Operate a stand-up forklift safely and efficiently to transport and organize inventory within the warehouse or cage area.
• Conduct routine cycle counts and inventory audits to verify stock levels and maintain accuracy.
• Utilize inventory management systems, including GCCS (Global Component Control System) and GPCS (Global Parts Control System), to track, update, and manage inventory.
• Coordinate the retrieval and movement of parts for production or shipping purposes, ensuring timely availability.
• Inspect and report on the condition of inventory to ensure all items are stored in compliance with company standards.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals and maintain operational efficiency.
• Perform routine cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
• Assist in coordinating the movement and retrieval of parts for production or shipment as needed.
• Monitor and report on the condition of parts and inventory, ensuring that all items are stored properly and in good condition.
• Follow all company safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
