Civil Engineer (Field Position)

The Opportunity :

A Civil Engineer is responsible for a variety of field-centric duties including observing construction activities, testing material properties, and providing engineering consulting on projects of increasing complexity. You will play a key role in assisting our clients to successfully execute their projects. As a Field Engineer you will work under the direct supervision of registered Professional Engineers and other industry experts. You will be given autonomy to execute in-depth evaluations, troubleshoot complex issues, and make recommendations with the support of the Project Mangers.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct detailed on-site reviews to assess construction progress, evaluate contractor adherence to project specifications, identify potential challenges , perform specialized tests on construction materials to verify quality standards are consistently met, analyze data and project information, and apply your expertise and training to make well-informed recommendations to help keep projects on track.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing your complex field observations, precise test results, and sophisticated analysis of construction processes.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Use your problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex construction challenges.
