Job description

Overview :

  • We are seeking a skilled Power Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the DIVE application used across the Deployment and Sustainment Division (DSD) projects.
  • This role is ideal for an experienced analyst who thrives at the intersection of data visualization, performance reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Analyst will be responsible for transforming complex data sets into clear and actionable insights, dashboards, and executive-level reports that drive informed decision-making.  Location :

  • Arlington, VA.
  • This position will be on-site four days a week with one day remote.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and enhance the DIVE application built on Power BI, ensuring optimal performance and usability.
  • Develop compelling data visualizations and dashboards incorporating inputs from diverse data sources including Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Project.
  • Gather and refine reporting requirements from a variety of stakeholders across DSD projects.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into intuitive and actionable Power BI solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across all reporting products.
  • Conduct ongoing support and troubleshooting for Power BI reports and underlying data issues.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, data analysts, and technical leads.
  • Support version control and documentation of all Power BI report configurations and changes.
  • Adhere to best practices in data visualization and performance metric reporting.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Engineering, Public Administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of program or project management experience in the federal sector, with strong understanding of deployment operations, logistics, and modernization initiatives.
  • Microsoft Power BI Certification required 3–5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting roles.
  • Proficiency with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, relationships, and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with integrating and transforming data from multiple sources such as Excel, Access, and Microsoft Project.
  • Deep understanding of data visualization best practices and performance metrics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams.
  • Adept at gathering, interpreting, and implementing feedback from technical and non-technical stakeholders.
