Radiation Therapist - Syracuse, NY (#25267)

Location : Acute Care / Academic Medical Center, Syracuse, NY

Employment Type : Full-time

Hourly Rate : $70 / hour

Position Overview :

Deliver precision radiation therapy in an academic medical environment, utilizing advanced technology to treat oncology patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans while ensuring safety and accuracy in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications :

Education : Successful completion of an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree or graduation from an American Medical Association (AMA)-approved Radiation Therapy Program is required.

Licensure : Must hold a current and active license issued by New York State (NYS) in Radiation Therapy Technology.

Experience : Must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a radiation therapy setting.

Technical Skills : Must have strong knowledge of safety protocols and maintenance for high-voltage, state-of-the-art radiation equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

Administer targeted radiation treatments

Operate / maintain advanced radiation equipment

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols

Position patients accurately for therapy

Document treatment delivery and patient responses

Collaborate with oncology teams on plan adjustments
