• Work 4x10 shifts Monday through Friday from 12 : 00 PM to 10 : 30 PM with rotating start times as needed
• No weekends, call, or holiday requirements
• Minimum 2-3 years Level 1 ICU experience required (Level 2 ICU experience may be considered)
• Required certifications : BLS, ACLS; CCRN and TNCC preferred
• Must pass Relias EKG examination
• Navy blue scrub color required
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Float to ICU, main PACU, PCU, MS, and ER Holding as needed
• Patient ratios : 1 : 2 (preop may be 1 : 3)
• Care for adults, occasional adolescents, and geriatric population in Level 1 trauma center
• Recover surgical patients from neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant procedures
• Do not recover open heart surgeries or liver transplants
• Manage patients requiring artificial airways, invasive monitoring (including ICP), transfusions, and vasoactive drugs
• Night shift must learn preop patient workup procedures
• Experience required with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia
• Skills include blood product administration, dysrhythmia recognition / management, phlebotomy, starting IVs, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, and care of ventilated patients
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract allowed
