Job descriptionPrepare the surgical area, ensuring a clean and safe environment by utilizing aseptic techniques. Assist in various surgical procedures, effectively anticipating surgeons' needs and providing necessary instruments. Set up and maintain the operating room, managing equipment and supplies efficiently. Transport patients and maintain specialty carts, ensuring all items are complete and sterile. Provide excellent patient care by understanding age-specific needs and safety protocols. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire). No previous experience is required; we welcome motivated candidates eager to learn! Ability to thrive in a stressful, fast-paced environment. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing / pulling up to 30 lbs, and performing transfers with assistance. Exposure to various hazards, including mechanical, electrical, and chemical, with required use of protective gear.

As a crucial member of our Operating Room team, you will provide essential services in a fast-paced and high-stakes environment. At Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, we pride ourselves on being the largest hospital in Wisconsin, offering innovative care to patients worldwide. We are currently looking for dedicated Surgical Technologists to enhance our General Specialty department during the evening shift.
What We Offer :
- A competitive pay range of $26.10 - $39.15, commensurate with your skills and experience.
- $10,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates, with relocation assistance offered.
- An additional $2,000 sign-on bonus for PM shifts.
- Full-time employment with approximately 40 hours per week, including evening shifts and on-call duties.
