We are seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator to join our team. As a Driller, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and machinery to horizontally bore utilities. This is a physically demanding role that requires mechanical knowledge and experience in operating equipment such as directional bore machines, excavators, dump / utility trucks, and loaders. A valid, clean driver's license is required.
Duties :
Operate and maneuver heavy equipment, including directional bore machines, excavators, trucks and trailers, loaders, and other machineryWork around utility locates to provide safe digging / drillingPerform drilling operations to dig holes and trenches for construction projectsFollow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate drilling and excavationMonitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisorMaintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and proceduresCollaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely mannerConduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performanceExperience :
Preferably at least 2-3 years' experience or education / training equivalent in operating directional bore machines, excavators, trucks and trailersStrong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment operationAbility to read and interpret project plans and blueprintsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailPhysical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditionsNote : This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
