This position involves working nights, with both 8 and 12-hour shifts, including an every-third-weekend rotation and holiday requirements.
Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Unit Overview :
Become a key member of our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , caring for diverse and complex patients, including :
Post-operative care for craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resections.Spine surgeries including cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions.Patients suffering from hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes within our Comprehensive Stroke Program .High volume of spinal surgery and medical overflow cases.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , you'll gain exposure to advanced neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care.

Use the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan care, implement interventions, and evaluate their effectiveness.Recognize significant changes in patient status and take appropriate actions promptly.Implement risk reduction strategies while promoting patient and family education.Coordinate discharge planning with an interdisciplinary focus.Evaluate patient and team outcomes, making adjustments to care when necessary.Foster collaboration among healthcare teams through effective communication and conflict resolution.Maintain a culture of safety by identifying and reporting potential threats to patient safety.Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care processes.Engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to the growth of others.Demonstrate knowledge and skills to cater to the age and specific needs of all patients.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license from the practicing state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Education Required :
Completion of an accredited Nursing program.Experience Required :
Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

Frequent movement required throughout the workday, including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting.Must lift up to 50 lbs. from the floor to waist and 20 lbs. overhead.Ability to push / pull with 30 lbs. of force and assist with patient transfers.Exposure to chemicals, hazardous wastes, and the potential for infectious diseases.Must possess functional abilities in speech, vision, hearing, and fine motor skills.Operate necessary medical equipment proficiently.This job description provides a general overview of the role and responsibilities.
