About The Position We are seeking a board-certified Pediatrician for a locum tenens assignment in Oregon. This opportunity begins on Dec 5, 2025, and lasts 10 days, with 24-hour call coverage from 7a-7a and onsite presence of approximately 1-4 hours per day. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in caring for patients from birth through age 18, including newborns with potentially life-threatening conditions. Proficiency with Epic EMR is required for this role. Job Details Location : Oregon Start Date : Dec 5, 2025 LOA : 10 days Provider Type Needed : Pediatrician Schedule : 24-hour call coverage, 7a-7a, with roughly 1-4 hours onsite daily Responsibilities and Duties Provide medical care for patients aged 0–18 years, including admissions, consultations, work-ups, and treatment of major or complicated illnesses Perform venipuncture, laceration repair, incision and drainage of superficial abscesses Deliver care for all newborns, including those with potentially life-threatening illnesses; consult in extremely complex or life-threatening situations as needed Manage both routine and acute pediatric cases during call coverage Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR Additional Information Board certification in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine required (with significant pediatric and neonatal experience if not Pediatrician) Oregon state license required Completion of a 3-year Pediatric Residency program required PALS and NRP certifications required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required DEA license required Clean malpractice and background preferred Local candidates highly preferred; no flights Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
