The purpose of this role is to lead a large team of analysts in an effort to support our client in laboratory and manufacturing facilities. This team is focused on investigating samples and operations from the process sciences group in an effort to identify deviations and prepare batches for release. This individual must guide leaders and analysts to prioritize development of the team and scope of work given the amount of potential growth opportunity.
Lead teams, schedules, and train employees in client environment
Organize technical resources and staff to accomplish client goals within given deadlines
Meet all quality and productivity metrics, and demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration
Monthly meetings with each direct report, the Eurofins department, and client managers
Disseminate administrative communications
Assist Director with business operations as needed
Stays current science and technology and consults knowledgeably with clients
PhD preferred. At minimum a Bachelor's degree in chemistry or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience
Scientific background, specifically within analytical chemistry, and 3+ years of hands on laboratory experience
Experience working with monoclonal antibodies
Strong leadership and project management skills
A good understanding of day to day business operations
Demonstrate strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Business Management education or experience preferred
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply.
Target compensation : $90-110k
