Telemetry RN Job Details – Austin, TX

Location : Austin, TX 78704 (Texas healthcare jobs)

Facility : 34-bed Telemetry Unit (3 South)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Travel nursing contract)

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 2, 2026

Shift : 12-hour days (07 : 00 – 19 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : Every other weekend required

Employment Type : Travel RN

Dress Code : Navy scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,360–$1,460 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills

Experience with respiratory care, advanced airways, and oxygen management

Familiarity with cardiac drips (non-titrated)

Excellent teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in a 34-bed Telemetry unit

Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms

Manage respiratory needs, including advanced airway and oxygen therapy

Administer cardiac drips as ordered (non-titrated)

Assist with cardiac and medical procedures : stress tests, heart catheterizations, CABG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube management

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (RNs, PCTs, unit clerks)

Float as needed to Med Surg, Med Surg Telemetry, and ED holding areas

Document patient care using Meditech EMR
