Job Requirements

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.

Certifications Requirements

Valid California State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

State License required for practice.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Therapist in a clinical or long-term care setting.

Ability to deliver compassionate and effective speech therapy services.

Other Requirements

Must-haves include a valid State License.

Excellent communication skills, patient-centered approach, and ability to work independently.

No on-call or callback requirements.

Must be able to work days, 8 am - 5 pm, with a productive rate above 90%.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver speech-language pathology services to patients in a long-term care setting, addressing issues such as speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Conduct assessments and develop individual treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Document therapy sessions and progress notes accurately in compliance with facility standards.

Educate patients and families on therapy goals and techniques.

Maintain license and certifications current and adhere to facility policies.

Maintain a high productive rate, above 90%, ensuring efficient therapy delivery.

Adapt therapy techniques to diverse patient populations with compassion and professionalism.
