This position reports to :

Director - EV Operations

As a Field Construction Manager within the ABB Energy & Carbon Services division, you will oversee our construction site operations with a dual focus on quality project execution and safety compliance. In this role, you are responsible for managing and coordinating onsite stakeholders, maintaining schedules, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and building regulations. You will lead site inspections, safety meetings, and incident investigations while supporting our project team with planning, reporting, and customer communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations including subcontractor coordination, equipment / material management, and project progress reporting.
  • Ensure safety compliance with OSHA and local regulations through inspections, training, incident investigations, and enforcement of safety plans.
  • Lead stakeholder coordination by conducting pre-construction meetings and maintaining communication with clients, contractors, and utility companies.
  • Support technical and administrative tasks such as assisting engineers, managing RFIs / change orders, and facilitating workers' compensation and return-to-work strategies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of experience in construction safety and site management with electrical experience in a commercial or industrial construction setting.
  • OSHA 30 and CPR / First Aid certification required or will be required to obtain.
  • Strong initiative with good communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Good ethical judgment and ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time or greater.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United States.

    While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $79,800 and $127,680 annually.
