School Social Worker - Bridgeport, CT

A full-time School Social Worker position is available for the 20252026 academic year in Bridgeport, CT, focused on supporting elementary school students. This contract role offers an opportunity to provide essential individual and group counseling services during the school day.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering individual and group counseling to elementary-aged students
• Collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to address student needs
• Assessing student social and emotional well-being and developing intervention plans
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to student support strategies

Qualifications:

• Active 071 CT School Social Work License
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification
• Experience working with elementary school populations preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively

Schedule and Location:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• Based in Bridgeport, Connecticut
