Job Summary : Plans, coordinates, and directs quality assurance program designed to ensure continuous production consistent with established internal and customer standards.
Required Education and Experience :
- Bachelors degree from four year college or university and five to ten years related experience / training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Mini-Tab
- Excellent communication, problem solving, teamwork, organization, project management, leadership, and time management skills
- ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 Internal Auditor
- Must be able to coach and mentor, work in high pressure situations, analyse data, self-motivate, and work independently
- Core Tools Certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt Training and Certification
- Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
Essential Functions :
Serves as a member of the Quality / Delivery Emergency Management TeamFormulates and maintains quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goalsCreates and implements inspection criteria and proceduresInterprets quality assurance philosophy to key personnel in organizationCoordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other department managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costsProvides inspection activity for product throughout production cycleApplies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each departmentDirects workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and productsWorks with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts for company useEvaluates departmental and plant training needs as related to the quality assurance functionAssists in planning and conducting training to fill identified needsCreates and directs environmental test functionsPlays an active role on quality management teams within the organizationDesigns and implements quality control training programs to key personnel and associates in conjunction with managersInvestigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding qualityAny other duties or responsibilities assigned by the General ManagerAbide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following : Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
