Schedule Day shift, 5x8 hours (07 : 00 - 15 : 30 or 08 : 00 - 16 : 30), Monday through Friday. Weekends and holidays are not required. Job Description The Peri-Op Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) will play a critical role in performing endoscopic procedures to examine and treat conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, including but not limited to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and various gastrointestinal cancers. The RN will function in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting, providing care pre- and post-procedure, and assisting in conscious sedation. Responsibilities Administer conscious sedation and monitor patient vital signs during procedures. Perform specimen handling and labeling. Recover patients after conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation. Manage airway and perform 12 lead EKGs / ECGs. Start and maintain IV lines and administer medications including reversal agents. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of Endoscopy nursing experience; less than 2 years may be considered with strong Endoscopy background.
