Registered Nurse - Acute Care, Family Birthplace, PRN, Variable Shift

Your expertise as a Registered Nurse is critical in providing compassionate patient care within our acute inpatient setting, particularly in our Family Birthplace. We value patient-centered approaches and evidence-based practices to enhance care quality and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver thorough nursing assessments and accurately monitor patient status, ensuring timely responses to changes in their condition.

Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to create personalized care plans that meet the specific needs of each patient.

Continuously evaluate and update care plans, adjusting based on patient progress and communicating updates effectively to the team.

Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for patients, emphasizing adherence to safety protocols and compliance with organizational policies.

Engage in quality improvement initiatives, actively utilizing performance indicators and monitoring patient care outcomes.

Provide education to patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans, fostering involvement in their care.

Advocate for patients throughout their care journey, coordinating with interdisciplinary team members to facilitate optimal healthcare delivery.

Work Environment :

This role is for a PRN position at 1570 Tuomey Hospital in the Family Birthplace department. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts is essential.

Qualifications :

Associate degree in Nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

A minimum of one year of nursing experience is required. However, completion of a qualifying nursing residency program may be accepted in lieu of experience.

Current RN compact / multistate license is mandatory.
