Overview

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center located in Fayetteville, NC, is part of Cape Fear Valley Health System, North Carolina’s eighth-largest health network. The system serves communities throughout southeastern North Carolina and includes Betsy Johnson Hospital, Bladen County Hospital, Central Harnett Hospital, Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital, Hoke Hospital, Behavioral Health Services, Rehabilitation Center, and multiple clinics. Annually, it serves approximately 1 million patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Medical management of patients rendered unconscious or insensible to pain during surgery and other procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and / or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients; manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor patient’s physiological condition
• Perform clinical interventions as needed

Qualifications

Shifts and Team

In-house call 4 times a month with weekend duty. The team operates in an anesthesia care team model, focusing on voice, collaboration, and care excellence. Leadership : Scott Everett, Chief Anesthesiologist.
