Locum Physician (MD / DO) - Gastroenterology in Columbia, SC

LocumJobsOnline is working with Alumni Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Gastroenterology MD in Columbia, South Carolina, 29033!

About The Position

Requirements : Board Certified, ACLS, BLS.

Schedule :  7a-4p, w / offsite call, and returning for emergencies only.

6 month block minimum with option to extend.

Patient charting / documentation is required to be completed on site and will not count toward OT

Level 1 trauma

Practice Type : Hospital, Outpatient Clinic & Free standing GI Center

100% Adults

Support Staff : 5 other physicians onsite, 9mid-levels (6 IP / 3 OP), OR team and CRNAs at the ASC. APPs to assist with rounding

Required Procedures : upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, Esophageal dilatation / manometry, manometry interpretation, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy (w / biopsy and w / excision of poly)

Preferred Proc : Upper GI endoscopy (foreign body removal, cautery vs laser, injections with varices, banding of varices, ERCP, EUS, liver biopsy, insertion / management of Sengstaken / Blakemore tube, Advanced endo
