Overview
Reporting to the PharMerica President, the Vice President, Marketing will be an integral member of the leadership team with responsibility for our brand messaging, marketing communication, print and digital presence, relationship development, and product sales strategies that drive exceptional business growth.
This role demands a dynamic and visionary leader with a proven history of creating transformative marketing strategies, achieving measurable outcomes, and fostering cross-functional alignment across diverse teams. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in marketing both services and products while excelling in the management of digital and event-driven marketing initiatives.

The position requires approximately 25% travel

Responsibilities
- Defines and champions an innovative marketing vision and roadmap to position PharMerica as a leader in the industry informed by market insights, customer feedback, and business priorities
- Develops and maintains a deep understanding of our market(s), customer behaviors, market segments, competitive landscape, and competitive positioning; Monitor and evaluate brand performance, making adjustments as needed to enhance brand equity
- Stays ahead of industry trends, competitive activities, and emerging market opportunities to refine and future-proof PharMerica’s marketing strategy; Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Partners closely with the business unit and other senior leaders to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and overall business objectives
- Defines clear metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate marketing performance and support data-driven decision-making
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to secure PharMerica’s participation in high-profile sponsorships, speaking engagements, panels, and industry discussions
- Leverages event analytics to measure success, gather feedback, and continuously optimize event strategies for maximum impact
- Develops lasting relationships with strategic customers, trade groups, professional industry / medical organizations and supplier partners
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master’s preferred12+ years of leadership experience in senior marketing roles, with a track record of success in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or related industriesVisionary leadership with a demonstrated ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams.A strategic mindset focused on delivering measurable and sustainable business outcomes.Exceptional storytelling and communication skills to craft compelling brand narratives.Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to inform and refine strategic decisions with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans
