RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

• Work on a 25-bed observation unit on the 1st floor
• Patient ratios : 4 : 1 during day shifts / 5 : 1 during night shifts
• Full-time schedule : 36 hours per week with every 3rd weekend
• Part-time schedule : 24 hours per week with every 3rd weekend
• PRN schedule : 3 shifts per month with one weekend day required
• Contract / Traveler schedule : 36 hours per week with every other weekend
• Required certifications : BLS and ACLS
• Preferred experience : Neuro and cardiac background
• Equipment used : Alaris Pumps, tele-tracking, Imobile Communication, B450 Monitors, Pyxis
• Documentation system : Meditech
• Unit staffing includes : 1 CNC, 6-7 RNs, 2 techs, 1 unit secretary
• Procedures performed : glucose monitoring, Foley insertion, dressing changes, EKGs, peritoneal dialysis
• Responsibilities include triaging acute care patients and identifying life-threatening rhythms
• Floating policy on a rotating system to meet hospital needs
• Dress code : black scrubs for RNs, closed-toed shoes required (no crocs)
• Fast-paced, energetic, and friendly work environment
• Newly built unit with brand new equipment and technology
