Job description

Project Manager 2 (Procurement Liaison)

Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner of Technology, the Project Manager 2 (Procurement Liaison) will support the dedicated team's procurement activities. This role will be responsible for assisting with various aspects of the procurement process, such as initial requirements gathering, work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to facilitate efficient and effective procurement outcomes.

Assist in the development and drafting of procurement documents, including requests for proposals (RFPs), invitations for bids (IFBs), and contracts.

Assist in managing vendor relationships, monitoring performance, and addressing any issues that may arise.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize value and efficiency.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and share with contract team.

Assist in the preparation of budget analysis, strategic budget planning, funding requests, and spend reporting for technology initiatives.

Lead IT Procurement, encompassing SaaS, cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.), infrastructure, and professional services contracts.

Perform market research to determine best pricing strategies and negotiating contractual terms.
